Cross country and Athletics

House Cross Country & Athletics Carnivals

At Orchard Park Primary School, our House Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals are key highlights on the school calendar, promoting school spirit, friendly competition and a strong sense of belonging. Students in Years 3–6 participate in these events not only for the fun and challenge, but also for opportunities to represent the school at the District, Division, Regional and State levels. Many students proudly progress through these pathways each year.

For our Prep to Year 2 students, these events are designed with a strong focus on participation, confidence-building and enjoyment. During the Cross Country Carnival, younger students take part in a supportive fun-run-style course. Our Athletics Carnival includes novelty and modified athletics activities that introduce students to essential movement skills in an encouraging, low-pressure environment.

These early experiences help prepare students for more formal competitions in later years while fostering enthusiasm for physical activity, teamwork, and connection to their House.
