With our school continuing to grow, we are experiencing more traffic during pick up and drop off times. Our key priority always is to ensure all students and their families arrive and depart school safely. Therefore, I encourage all families to read through the following points to ensure every drop off and pick period is a safe one for all.

Pink: Parent Parking | Yellow: Drop & Go Zone
One of the main concerns we have noticed occurring again is the parking along the median strip on Pink Hill Boulevard and parking across local residents’ driveways. The follow on from this is that students, parents and younger siblings have been crossing at points other than the school crossing, creating high risk of an accident. A parent has reported a near miss recently, with a student popping out from between parked cars to get to their parents on the median strip. Fortunately, the car managed to stop on this occasion. However this situation is completely avoidable, and we all have a role to play in ensuring it does not happen in the future. Local parking officers also regularly check around the school for cars parking in locations such as this.
Please remember there is more parking on the eastern (Barnsley Rd) and northern (Grant Parade) boundaries of the school.
As mentioned above, we have noticed members of our community crossing at varying locations along Pink Hill Boulevard in the mornings and afternoons. Please ensure that all members of your family are using the school crossing when supervisors are working.
Don't forget that we also have our drop off and pick up zone on Pink Hill Boulevard at the front of the school. This is for quick drop offs and pick ups. If you choose to use this zone, please do not leave your car unattended. The purpose of these spaces is for safe and smooth drop offs and pick ups to occur and for the traffic to keep flowing.
Please be mindful that the kinder car park has one entry only point on Barnsley Rd and one exit only point on Pink Hill Boulevard. We ask that all users of the car park adhere to these structures to ensure this is a safe space for our entire community.
Families are not permitted to use the staff car park during drop off and pick up times. We have staff with varied start and finish times throughout the school day and we want to avoid students moving through this space at any point throughout the school day.
The most important quality we can all demonstrate during these very busy times outside of our school is patience. We appreciate that there are many time demands in everyone’s busy lives. However, I am sure you would all agree, for the sake of an extra minute or two, we would all prioritise the safety of our entire school community.
We really appreciate your support with these matters.
