Enrolment

The Department of Education has a statewide enrolment timeline for Foundation (Prep) students. This timeline guides families on when and how to enrol their child in Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government Primary School, including Orchard Park Primary School. Applications to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) for 2026 at Orchard Park Primary School will open on 22 April 2025.

Step-by-step enrolment timeline

1. Book a school tour or learn more.
   Contact our school by email at orchard.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au or phone 5947 9100.
2. Download the Foundation (Prep) information pack.
   Access the enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by 22 April 2025). This pack includes an application form, which you can also download HERE.
3. Submit your enrolment application.
   Lodge an application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25 July 2025.
4. Receive your enrolment outcome.
   You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28 July and Friday 8 August 2025.
5. Accept your offer.
   If you receive an enrolment offer, please contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 22 August 2025.
6. Attend transition sessions.
   Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025.
7. Start Foundation (Prep).
   Prepare your child to start school from Wednesday 28 January 2026.
